From the historic buildings on Main Street to the artisan workshops in the Cotton Belt Railroad District, Grapevine, Texas is one of those wonderful Texas cities that hasn’t lost its charm.
And even better, it hasn’t lost its great restaurant options, with plenty of the best restaurants in Grapevine for you and your family to enjoy, whether you’re wanting to dig into some fresh tacos, BBQ dripping with all kinds of sauces, or some pizza covered in your favorite toppings.
I love Grapevine for the friendly atmosphere and always enjoy my visits here when I’m driving through Texas (Grapevine is just outside of Dallas), and I’ve pulled together a list of some of the best places to eat in Grapevine so you know which ones to add to your list of where to eat in Grapevine.
Note: these are in no particular order, so have a scroll through and see which cuisine suits you best!
1. Tolbert’s Restaurant and Chili Parlor
This is one of the places on my list to visit whenever I’m in the area. The food is excellent – I have to get a “bowl of red” chili when I go. The hot dogs are great too! There’s a good variety of items on the menu – haven’t found anything bad yet.
💻: website | 📞: 817-421-4888 | 📌: 423 S Main St, Grapevine, TX 76051
I adore the chili at Tolbert’s – and for good reason, as it’s a specialist restaurant featuring southwestern cuisine and signature bowls of chili.
The historic building adds to the atmosphere and live music throughout the week allows you to kick back and relax with family and friends.
If you want to try something different, go for the catfish with hushpuppies with tarter and cocktail sauce, or opt for the fried shrimp or the angus steak if you’re really hungry.
If you want something a little lighter, you can pair together some sides with a fresh market salad.
2. Esparza’s Restaurante Mexicano
Coming from San Antonio, Tx where TexMex is the thing, I was quite surprised to find out how great the food at Esparza’s was. I had the Pollo Monterey which was very very tasty and highly recommended.

Esparza’s will keep the chips and salsa going all throughout your meal as you dine on their fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, or something else entirely.
They’ve got some of the best shrimp enchiladas around, but no matter what you get, everyone will be pleased with their meal.
The food is authentic, full of flavor, and served up fast and for reasonable prices, which makes this one of the best places to eat in Grapevine with a group.
It’s just a block off of Main Street with a good sized patio for dining outdoors, which makes it a great option in good weather as well.

Inspired by France, Chez Fabien Bistro is a great option for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, featuring menu items like the organic granola yogurt pairfait, churros French toast, home-made morning pastries and deluxe breakfast croissants.
If you’re really hungry, the fried chicken & waffle benedict is one of my favorites, or order something from the lunch menu like warm brie, spinach & artichoke dip, and mac and the French Dip sandwich.
The menu is hearty and filled with options that you won’t find elsewhere in Grapevine, and you can finish it all off with one of their amazing coffees.
4. Big Fish Seafood Grill

Chill out with an evening at the Seafood Grill, a Cajun inspired restaurant with everything from lemon pepper salmon to gumbo to popcorn shrimp.
The raw oysters are top notch, and the catfish and crab cakes are also a local favorite.

The service is always excellent and they’ve got a party room in case you have a special event.

This steakhouse, housed in a historic bank building, is hands-down the best restaurant in Grapevine when you want something peaceful with excellent food and a superb waiting staff.
The live piano music just makes the whole meal, and the wine selection is another plus.
Order the lobster bisque or scallops for one of the best menu items, or go for what they’re known for and enjoy the most tender steak you’ll ever have. It’s a great place for large groups as well as couples.
Make a reservation if you want to make sure you’ll get in.

One of the best, if not the best lasagna we have ever had. The pizza was also good. Atmosphere is cozy. Good drink menu and nice variety of food to choose from.

The restaurant is cozy and clean, and the parking is easy to find, making it great for a girl’s day or night out or a family get-together.
Try the limoncello martini if you’re of age, and don’t forget to save room for dessert.

LOVE Piaf! I’ve been twice and stayed on the patio upstairs both times. There’s great live music that really helps with ambiance and bring good vibes.

It’s all about the French and Mediterranean vibes at PIAF Kitchen, which has a patio upstairs that’s my favorite spot to dine in.
Live music helps set the tone, and there are so many options that you shouldn’t have a problem finding something to love.
Try the shrimp and octopus appetizer, then go for the paella and mussels as an entrée.
There’s also braised lamb, scallops, mushroom ravioli, and so many more cool options that you won’t find at other Grapevine restaurants.
Enjoy the cocktails well into the evening as you soak in the chill atmosphere.
They also have great options for vegetarians, just as flavorful and filling as the options for the meat eaters.
8. Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza Grapevine
Great lighting. Not too loud or crowded. Food was wonderful. Fair price for the experience. Abby was our server and was very knowledgeable and well spoken.

Pizza is what’s on the menu at Mister O1 – the specialty “star” pizzas stuffed with ricotta are excellent, but you can also order traditional pizzas as well.
The ingredients are fresh and flavorful, and there are lots of options for dessert pizzas (my favorite is the Nutella banana pizza).
The atmosphere and staff are really wonderful, and happy to help you make your choices.
To balance out your pizza options, check out the salads, from Caesar to Caprese.
You can also get pizza to go if you prefer to eat them at home, but I’d recommend eating in the restaurant as it’s definitely a great full dinner experience that extends beyond the food.

The pizza dough is a thin and crunchy style, and locals absolutely love the crust that leaves you wanting more and more.

Palio’s Pizza café has a ton of options for a great Italian meal, from pizza to gyros to pasta to calzones.
The spinach artichoke dip is one of my favorites (pair with garlic bread) and the prices are super affordable.
I love it around lunchtime, and they also offer a gluten free crust for gluten free people in Grapevine that they make themselves and is much better than most gluten free crusts you’ll find.
It’s a friendly neighborhood restaurant with food prepared fresh to order, meaning it should go to the top of your list of places to eat in Grapevine.
14. Taco Casa
This is our new favorite fast Mexican food! Their competition scrimps on fillings and toppings. Taco Casa is a great value for the amount of food and more importantly the quality.

Taco Casa is a chain in Grapevine that’s really for when you want some fast Mexican food, and they don’t disappoint.
From burritos to tacos to salads, you can zoom in here, fill up on your favorite Tex Mex choices (don’t forget the queso) and then continue on with your day in Grapevine.
It’s way better than similar Mexican fast food chains, which is why the Grapevine location has made my list.
15. Daily Pho
Ordered to-go and was ready in 15 minutes. We ordered fried dumplings, shrimp spring rolls, round steak pho, meatball pho and chicken breast pho. So good!

This Vietnamese restaurant has some of the best pho in Grapevine (thankfully, due to the name!) and you can enjoy everything from pork eggrolls to meatballs to fried dumplings.
The flavors are excellent and never bland, and it’s all made from scratch, but ready faster than you might think.
The service is fast, friendly, and they do a lot of pick-up orders so you don’t have to eat inside if you prefer to take it out (though the insider is incredibly clean and bright so don’t hesitate to eat inside if you have time!).

There’s even some more interesting options like smoked bologna, and the sides of mac and cheese, green beans, and rolls are always cooked perfectly.
Many people don’t think to go into Bartley’s due to the mini-mall location, but you’ve got to go.
The portions are awesome and the service is so friendly that you’ll feel like family.
17. Los Amigos
Excellent food and service as usual. I’m glad this hometown favorite is still as good as it was 16 years ago when my family and I used to live here.

It’s an independent restaurant, which means friendly service and no chain menus – so many people go to Los Amigos over and over again when they visit the Dallas area to make sure they get their fix of authentic Mexican food.
